Home to detroit for pride weekend and of course the show. Then back to D.C. for capital pride. So stupid exited.

Dating a woman who accepts you as you are is amazing. However hearing her remind you that she doesn’t like men is unsettling and very uncomfortable. Regardless of your sexual Identity, I shouldn’t have to be reminded of how much you don’t like men. You happen to be in a relationship with one and the fact that you are dating me doesn’t make me feel better or accomplished because you decided that I was worth it. It makes me feel awkward because of my status in the community. Being trans I am sensitive to thing some guys may not be like the fact that you prefer women. Unlike many cis-guys I don’t feel like I have conquered anything. I feel like if I had different anatomy we wouldn’t be together, especially since you remind me that you don’t like men. The question I have to ask myself is why am i posting this online instead of telling you.

The argument is to me, the equivalent of looking at a man who found his freedom, & telling him no matter what he does, no matter where he goes, he will still die a slave.

That man was no more born a slave than I was born a female. The Man was born into slavery it was not of his choosing. The man was able to rise above the strong hold of society and find his god given right to be free. I was born into a female body and was able to rise above the insecurity that comes with knowing you aren’t who anyone see’s when they look you in the eye, the fear of ridicule, hate, & ignorance. I have been male since my entrance on this planet. I knew as a small child who I would grow to be, though I didn’t know how.

To acquire the knowledge of my trans status, and then try to discredit my gender because you can’t wrap your tiny brain around the fact that some men have vaginas is insensitive, & unacceptable. Not once have I walked up to a lesbian with a 12yr old and said your not gay you were married to a man.

I don’t tell anyone how to live there life. I don’t expect anyone to share my values or opinions however, It truly disgusts me that within our own community, I have ran into more unacceptable and disrespectful behavior, opinions, & outlooks toward the T in LGBT … We are supposed to be a community not a high school… It seems each letter has formed a clique and select members of all the groups are some kind of floater… like in high school you had the jock who was friends with the lab nerd… etc. why can’t we just fucking support each other. …
